OTA Channel Manager API Acquisition Guide

A platform-wise onboarding guide for obtaining supplier-side hotel connectivity APIs for MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, Cleartrip, EaseMyTrip, Bag2Bag and ixigo.

Focus: ARI + Reservations Audience: Channel Manager / PMS Vendor Updated: 9 September 2026
Important: ask for supplier-side connectivity, not a normal Hotel API. For a channel manager you need Hotel Connectivity / Channel Manager / Property Distribution / ARI + Reservation APIs. Demand APIs that let you search and book an OTA's hotel inventory are the opposite direction and are not sufficient.

What your channel manager must support

Use this terminology in every partner application.

1. MakeMyTrip + Goibibo

Treat these as one integration project through the Go-MMT / InGo-MMT ecosystem.

Go-MMT Connectivity

Critical for an India-focused hotel channel manager.

Partner-only onboarding

What to request

  • Channel Manager / Connectivity Partner onboarding
  • ARI API or XML specification
  • Reservation delivery / retrieval API
  • Property, room and rate-plan mapping
  • Authentication and sandbox credentials
  • Certification test cases and production endpoints

Recommended onboarding path

  1. Contact the Go-MMT Connectivity / Business Development team.
  2. Explain that ITAIMS is building a multi-property channel manager, not a single-hotel integration.
  3. Ask an existing MMT/Goibibo hotel to request ITAIMS as its desired channel manager through its Go-MMT Business Development Manager.
  4. Complete mapping, ARI, reservation and error-handling certification.
  5. After approval, hotels should be able to select ITAIMS as their channel manager.
Open Go-MMT Support
Best wording to use “We require supplier-side two-way hotel distribution connectivity for rates, availability, inventory, restrictions, reservations, modifications and cancellations.”
Useful partner leverage An existing hotel can ask its Go-MMT Business Development Manager to onboard your channel manager. This makes your request concrete and commercially relevant.
Do not ask for A generic MakeMyTrip travel or affiliate “Hotel API”. That is usually meant for search and booking, not ARI distribution.

2. Booking.com

Excellent connectivity documentation, but new provider onboarding is currently paused.

Booking.com Connectivity APIs

Build your adapter now, but do not make your launch dependent on immediate production approval.

Onboarding paused

Priority APIs

  1. Rates & Availability
  2. Reservations
  3. Connections
  4. Room Type & Rate Plan management

Booking.com Connectivity API
Developer Documentation Connectivity Portal
Current blocker Booking.com currently states that onboarding of new Connectivity Providers is paused until further notice.
What you should do now Design the Booking adapter and internal data model against the public documentation. Use a temporary intermediary connectivity provider if Booking.com is required before direct onboarding reopens.
Compliance note Reservations and payment-related data can introduce PCI and PII responsibilities. Keep card-data handling isolated.

3. Agoda

One of the best direct starting points because the supplier-side documentation is public and channel-manager specific.

Agoda YCS / Direct Supply API

Apply as an Agoda Technology / Connectivity Partner.

Recommended first

Core scope

  • Rates
  • Availability
  • Inventory
  • Restrictions
  • Products
  • Booking retrieval / notification

Onboarding steps

  1. Submit the Agoda New Partner Questionnaire.
  2. Describe your product as a Channel Manager / PMS / Hospitality Technology Provider.
  3. Request YCS API access and sandbox details.
  4. Implement OAuth 2.0 from the start.
  5. Complete certification test cases.
  6. Connect approved properties through YCS channel-manager settings.

Agoda YCS API
Agoda Direct Supply Hub Become a Partner
Use the correct API family Ask for the YCS API / Direct Supply connectivity APIs intended for Channel Manager Partners.
Build OAuth now Agoda is transitioning away from legacy API-key authentication, so OAuth 2.0 is the safer long-term architecture.
Expansion path After ARI and reservations, add Content Push, promotions and property onboarding capabilities.

4. Expedia Group

Formal supplier connectivity program with clear onboarding and certification.

Expedia Group Lodging Connectivity

Suitable for software providers, channel managers, PMS and CRS platforms.

Recommended early

Core API families

  • Availability & Rates — ARI and restrictions
  • Reservation Management — booking lifecycle
  • Product Management — rooms and rate plans

Typical onboarding path

  1. Contact Expedia Group lodging connectivity.
  2. Review API license and compliance requirements.
  3. Complete PCI review where card data is involved.
  4. Develop and test the required API modules.
  5. Complete soft launch / certification.
  6. Move to production.
Expedia Connectivity Hub
Correct applicant type Expedia generally does not want an individual hotel making a direct API integration. A channel-manager software provider is the appropriate partner type.
PCI recommendation Architect payment / virtual-card handling as a separate secured component with minimal internal access.

5. Cleartrip

Public Hotel APIs are mostly demand-side, so your message must clearly ask for supplier-side connectivity.

Cleartrip Hotel Supply Connectivity

Request ARI + reservation integration, not search / booking APIs.

Contact required

Ask specifically for

  • Hotel Supply Connectivity
  • Channel Manager / ARI integration
  • Inventory and rate push
  • Restrictions
  • Reservation notification / retrieval
  • Modification and cancellation flow
  • Room / rate mapping
  • Sandbox and certification process

Suggested contact wording

Cleartrip API Information
Contact Start with api.support@cleartrip.com and ask to be routed to the hotel supply / connectivity team.
Avoid confusion Public hotel search, rate-rules, book and cancel APIs are generally for selling Cleartrip inventory, not updating your hotel's inventory on Cleartrip.

6. EaseMyTrip

Channel-manager support exists operationally, but public Hotel API documentation is primarily demand-side.

EaseMyTrip Hotel Supply / Channel Manager Integration

Request supplier connectivity directly from the hotel supply technology team.

Contact required

Ask for

  • Hotel Supply / Channel Manager Connectivity Partnership
  • ARI update specification
  • Reservation push / pull
  • Room and rate-plan mapping
  • Property activation process
  • Sandbox / test credentials

Suggested routing

Ask the initial partnership contact to forward you to:

Hotels Supply Technology
or
Connectivity / Extranet Integration Team
Hotel Partner Area
Potential contact routes marketing@easemytrip.com
sales@easemytrip.com
Do not rely on The public Search → Details → Pre-book → Book Hotel API flow. That is a demand API, not a channel-manager supply integration.

7. Bag2Bag

Public channel-manager developer documentation is limited; pursue a technology partnership directly.

Bag2Bag PMS / Channel Manager Integration

Best approached as a direct technology and inventory partnership.

Direct partnership

What to pitch

  • ITAIMS can bring multiple properties onto Bag2Bag.
  • Two-way ARI connectivity reduces manual extranet work.
  • Reservation delivery improves fulfilment and reduces overbooking.
  • Direct mapping can support hourly / flexible stay inventory if needed.

Ask for

  • Supplier API specification
  • Property / room / rate mapping
  • ARI and restriction update endpoints
  • Reservation webhooks / polling method
  • Sandbox access
  • Certification / production activation
Bag2Bag Hotel Partnership
Suggested subject Technology Partnership Proposal – Direct Channel Manager API Integration
Initial public contact care@bag2bag.in
Recommended strategy Ask to be connected with their Product / Engineering / Hotel Supply team rather than treating this as a generic support request.

8. ixigo

Hotel supply is managed through HELLO — Hotels Extranet for Listings, Loading & Operations.

ixigo HELLO Connectivity

Request Channel Manager / PMS API connectivity with the hotel supply team.

Direct discussion

Request

  • Property mapping API
  • Room mapping
  • Rate-plan mapping
  • ARI push
  • Restriction updates
  • Reservation push / pull
  • Modification and cancellation
  • Authentication / sandbox

Email subject

ixigo HELLO
Public support contact hello_support@ixigo.com
Opportunity Because HELLO is a newer hotel-supply stack, there may be value in approaching ixigo early as a technology partner rather than waiting for a public self-service developer program.

Detailed Execution Playbooks

Use these as the operating checklist for API acquisition, certification and first pilot.

Working rule

Run partner acquisition in parallel. Start engineering against the first OTA that gives us legitimate sandbox/certification access. Never store API keys, OAuth secrets or passwords in this guide.

Overall progress: 0 / 0 tasks completed

1. Agoda

Goal: get ITAIMS accepted as an Agoda Tech Partner, obtain YCS connectivity access, certify the minimum API set and pilot with 2–3 live properties.

Start first
  1. Open Agoda's “How to become a Tech Partner” page and use the new partner questionnaire.
  2. Describe ITAIMS as a Channel Manager / Hotel Connectivity Platform / Hospitality Technology Provider, not an affiliate.
  3. State the India-focused business case and identify 2–3 potential Agoda pilot hotels.
  4. Request YCS API onboarding, test credentials, OAuth 2.0 setup and the certification package.
  5. Build OAuth 2.0 from day one; Agoda plans to end API-key authentication after the end of 2026.
  6. Implement the minimum certification functions: GetProduct, SetAriV2, GetBookingList and GetBookingDetails.
  7. Complete Agoda self-certification.
  8. Complete the 2–3 live-property pilot and monitor ARI/reservation stability.
  9. Obtain production approval and document the property connection process.
1. Agoda tracker
Official / Public Starting Point
Verified from Agoda Direct Supply docs on 9 Sep 2026. Minimum YCS certification requires GetProduct, SetAriV2, GetBookingList and GetBookingDetails, followed by self-certification and a 2–3 property pilot.

2. MakeMyTrip + Goibibo

Goal: use existing hotels to get ITAIMS introduced to the Go-MMT Channel Manager / Connectivity team and receive the private supplier API/XML specification.

Hotel-backed outreach
  1. Select 3–5 existing properties already selling on MakeMyTrip/Goibibo and get permission to name them as potential pilots.
  2. Ask each hotel's Go-MMT Business Development / Account Manager to request ITAIMS Channel Manager for that property.
  3. Send a parallel ITAIMS provider-onboarding request to Go-MMT.
  4. Position ITAIMS as a multi-property Channel Manager with ready pilot hotels, not as a single hotel requesting an API.
  5. Request ARI, restrictions, property/room/rate mapping, reservations, modifications, cancellations, authentication, sandbox and certification details.
  6. Do not start production coding until Go-MMT supplies the actual private integration specification.
  7. Build a GoMMTAdapter and keep MakeMyTrip/Goibibo as brands behind the same provider connector unless their supplied spec requires otherwise.
  8. Complete certification/testing and pilot with the requesting hotels.
2. MakeMyTrip + Goibibo tracker
Official / Public Starting Point
Public Go-MMT guidance confirms hotels can work with their Business Development Manager on channel-manager setup; provider API details are not public in the reviewed material.

3. Expedia Group

Goal: enter Expedia Group's lodging connectivity program, complete compliance/licensing, implement core supplier APIs, then soft-launch.

Formal program
  1. Use the Expedia Group Lodging Connectivity Hub and identify ITAIMS as a Channel Manager / lodging connectivity application.
  2. Submit company, product, target market, expected property count and integration scope.
  3. Review API license and PCI requirements; decide whether ITAIMS will handle payment/VCC data.
  4. Complete the connectivity consultation with Expedia.
  5. Prioritize Availability & Rates, Reservation Management and Product Management.
  6. Obtain test credentials/environment and complete required validation scenarios.
  7. Run a controlled soft launch with selected properties.
  8. Move to broader production rollout after sync and reservation stability are proven.
3. Expedia Group tracker
Official / Public Starting Point
Verified from Expedia Group Lodging Connectivity Hub on 9 Sep 2026. The program explicitly covers channel managers, PMS, CRS and other lodging connectivity applications.

4. Cleartrip

Goal: avoid Cleartrip's public demand/search API and get routed to the private Hotel Supply / Channel Manager connectivity team.

Needs supplier-team routing
  1. Contact Cleartrip API/business-development support and explicitly say you are NOT requesting the public search/book Hotel API.
  2. Ask to be routed to Hotel Supply Technology / Channel Manager Connectivity.
  3. Share the ITAIMS partner pack and hotel pipeline.
  4. Request supplier-side ARI, restrictions, mapping, reservation delivery, modifications, cancellations, sandbox and certification.
  5. Confirm authentication and IP/security requirements from the supplier team rather than assuming the public demand API uses the same method.
  6. Build CleartripAdapter only after receiving the actual supplier specification.
  7. Complete partner testing, pilot a live property and add daily reconciliation.
4. Cleartrip tracker
Official / Public Starting Point
Cleartrip's public Hotel API FAQ describes search → rate-rules → book → cancel, which is demand-side. The public FAQ lists api.support@cleartrip.com, but supplier/channel-manager documentation still requires direct routing.

5. EaseMyTrip

Goal: get ITAIMS added as a Channel Manager provider and obtain the private Hotel Supply integration specification.

Needs supplier-team routing
  1. Contact EaseMyTrip partnership/B2B routes and request Hotel Supply Technology / Connectivity / Extranet Integration.
  2. Reference that EaseMyTrip's hotel listing flow includes a “Select Channel Manager” field and ask how a new provider becomes selectable.
  3. Share the ITAIMS company/product pack, pilot hotel pipeline and India launch plan.
  4. Request supplier-side ARI, restrictions, property/room/rate mapping, reservations, sandbox and certification.
  5. Do not use the public Hotel Search/Details/Pre-Booking/Booking API for the channel-manager connector.
  6. Build EaseMyTripAdapter after the supplier specification is received.
  7. Complete testing, get ITAIMS enabled as a Channel Manager option and pilot selected properties.
5. EaseMyTrip tracker
Official / Public Starting Point
Verified 9 Sep 2026: EaseMyTrip property onboarding includes “Select Channel Manager”. Public Hotel API documentation is demand-side. Public partnership contacts include marketing@easemytrip.com and sales@easemytrip.com.

6. ixigo

Goal: reach the ixigo HELLO hotel-supply/product team and establish whether a direct Channel Manager/PMS API onboarding path is available.

HELLO outreach
  1. Open ixigo HELLO and use the hotel-partner/support route.
  2. Introduce ITAIMS as a Channel Manager/PMS connectivity provider for independent Indian hotels.
  3. Ask to be connected to the HELLO Hotel Supply / Product Engineering integration owner.
  4. Share the ITAIMS partner pack and expected hotel pipeline.
  5. Request a written function matrix covering mappings, ARI, restrictions, reservations, modifications, cancellations, webhooks/polling, sandbox and certification.
  6. Do not code against assumptions; public Channel Manager API documentation was not verified.
  7. Build IxigoAdapter and pilot only after the technical method is confirmed.
6. ixigo tracker
Official / Public Starting Point
HELLO is ixigo's hotel extranet for hotel-side inventory, pricing, promotions and content management. Public Channel Manager API documentation was not verified in the current review.

7. Bag2Bag

Goal: use Bag2Bag's hotel partnership route to reach product/engineering and secure the current API/PMS/Channel Manager integration method.

Direct partnership
  1. Contact Bag2Bag hotel partnership/support at care@bag2bag.in or through the hotel-registration route.
  2. Ask specifically for Product / Engineering / Hotel Supply, not general booking support.
  3. Pitch ITAIMS as a technology + inventory partner able to connect multiple hotels.
  4. Ask whether direct API/PMS/Channel Manager integration is currently available and request the exact technical specification.
  5. Request mappings, ARI, restrictions, reservation lifecycle, sandbox, certification and any hourly/flexible-stay requirements.
  6. Design Bag2BagAdapter to accommodate any hourly-stay inventory semantics if required.
  7. Pilot a small number of properties and reconcile OTA inventory against ITAIMS.
7. Bag2Bag tracker
Official / Public Starting Point
Bag2Bag publicly discusses API/PMS/channel-manager compatibility and provides hotel partner/support routes. Current private technical details must be confirmed directly.

8. Booking.com

Goal now: keep BookingAdapter architecture and compliance preparation ready. Goal later: apply immediately when new Connectivity Provider onboarding reopens.

Monitor / prepare
  1. Keep the existing Booking.com onboarding-monitor task active.
  2. Review Booking.com Connectivity API docs and design the BookingAdapter interfaces without assuming production access.
  3. Track API deprecations/version changes while waiting.
  4. Prepare PCI/PII/security documentation.
  5. Do not make launch dependent on Booking.com direct approval while new-provider onboarding is paused.
  6. When onboarding reopens, submit ITAIMS partner details and hotel pipeline immediately.
  7. After acceptance, obtain machine-account permissions and implement the required Rates & Availability, Reservations and room/rate-plan solutions.
  8. Complete certification/pilot and then production rollout.
8. Booking.com tracker
Official / Public Starting Point
Verified 9 Sep 2026: Booking.com's Connectivity Portal still says new connectivity-provider integrations are paused until further notice.

Operational requirements

  • Message queue for outbound OTA updates
  • Idempotency keys
  • Atomic inventory decrement
  • Retry with exponential backoff
  • Dead-letter queue
  • Per-OTA rate limiting
  • Full audit log
  • Daily reconciliation
  • Sync-error dashboard

Prepare one Connectivity Partner Pack

Use the same core pack for every OTA, then customize the cover letter.

1Company ITAIMS, Ahmedabad, India
Hotel technology / software provider
Website, company registration, primary contact
2Product Cloud Channel Manager / PMS connectivity platform
Multi-property support
Target: independent hotels, groups and revenue managers
3Capabilities Rates, inventory, restrictions, mappings, reservations, cancellations, audit logs, sync monitoring

5Reliability Retry queues, idempotency, observability, reconciliation, uptime monitoring, support escalation
6Commercial proof Number of hotels ready to connect, target geography, expected transaction volume, launch plan

Recommended application order

Use the easiest and most strategically important integrations to build momentum.

  1. Agoda — strongest immediate direct starting point.
  2. Expedia — formal supplier connectivity and strong docs.
  3. MakeMyTrip + Goibibo — essential for India; use existing hotel relationships to push onboarding.
  4. EaseMyTrip + Cleartrip — supplier connectivity discussion.
  5. ixigo — approach HELLO hotel-supply team.
  6. Bag2Bag — direct technology partnership.
  7. Booking.com — keep adapter ready and activate when new-provider onboarding reopens.
